Pantone, the authority on color, has already released a color report for Spring 2014 and it’s quite inspiring. There are many ways to use the offered colors together and with neutrals. There are many bold options like the color of the year – Radiant Orchid or others like royal Dazzling Blue and neon yellow Freesia. The latter would look amazing combined with light gray Paloma.

There are also a couple of less saturated brights like coral Cayenne and Celosia Orange. These are great accent colors that you can use extensively in wedding decor without fear of too much color. Then there are pastels like mint Hemlock, Placid Blue, Sand and Violet Tulip, which is a bit lighter and colder than Radiant Orchid.

All colors undoubtedly look great paired with white but you can find other beautiful combinations within as well as beyond this year’s color wheel. Sand and Dazzling Blue would also make a great combination. Think mixing contrasting colors if you really like unusual color palettes.

Pastel hues really give brides a chance to go for color in their wedding attire. Violet Tulip and Placid Blue are just the colors for a wedding dress. Paloma is also a nice alternative to a traditional white.

The key to an amazing wedding decor is to keep the color palette clean. If you chose a background color and a few accents make sure to stick with them. Otherwise, the whole color-themed wedding just won’t work.

Tableware, flowers, chair slip covers, air balloons, and various other accessories make great accents. Even drinks and food can be colored to fit your color-themed wedding decor.

What color palette did you choose for your wedding and which of these colors would you choose?
